Family Update

Hey friends!
It's a long story, but the short of it is, my last post was deleted... so Im posting it again now! I'll try my best!
Last weekend my mom received a call from my sister saying she was going into induced labor, so I rented an airplane and flew out to Nebraska with my mom and pilot friend Bobby! We arrived in 4 hours, verses the 9 hour road trip. It was an extremely smooth flight (It was definitely God's doing, there was a lot of prayer going on in the back seat!)Best cross country flight I have ever been on.
Anyway, we arrived there on-time before my sister had her baby!
Wonderfully cute, bug-like baby Shayleigh Danielle was born at 5am Saturday, the 7th of May!

She was 8lbs, 14oz when she was born!

Bobby and I flew back the next day. The rest of my family and I drove back to Nebraska on Tuesday and had a good time with my Sister and Brother-in-law.
We tried to drive back on Thursday, but we had to spend the night in North Platte because of weather.
We finally arrived back home on Friday!

I've been thinking about what it must be like to have the awesome responsibility of having a little one that is so dependent on you. I was also thinking how sad it is that so many people wait until they are older to have kids and waste all their younger, child bearing years getting set in careers. What if we just trusted God and followed his instructions to get married, go forth and multiply? Careers, higher-education, and all that will come in good time, if you work hard, but your child bearing years will go by fast.

Well thats the most recent update and my thoughts, hope it made you think!

In Christ,

Joe
